We are very strong, unbending Christians, and I know many Christians would reject this book for the pagan "Mother Earth" theme, but I appreciate it for many reasons.

The illustrations are unbelievable, the colors are very emotive, the rhythm and rhyme are high quality and fun, the language is creative and descriptive, beautiful.

"Mother Earth" as personified in the book is very nurturing and sweet. I love how her nose is a tree, her curves are hills, etc. And she's always different! Autumn, the child, is playful and enjoys the sights, sounds, tastes, feelings, and smells of the season to the fullest, as does our family!

This book is a wonderful Fall tradition in our home. Of course we discuss how actually believing that there is a "Mother Earth" contradicts our belief in an invisible Father in heaven who created all of nature. It's a good opportunity to discuss beliefs that differ from our own. But we celebrate the gifts of illustration, language, and imagination that God has bestowed on the creators of this book.

Great book!
I love love love this book. I bought it for my daughter 3 years ago when she was 4 and we still read it today. The story between mother and daughter is so fun and whimsical. It really touches your heart. It's also very descriptive which my daughter loves. I have bought a few for gifts too. I would def recommend.
Best book ever. Had a paper one and ordered a hard cover for my 4 yr. old Wild Child.💖
This is our favorite fall book. We bought it for my daughter's classroom!
My almost 3 year old loves hearing about the wild child getting ready for bed and loves the pictures. We read it almost every night before bed. The illustrations and colors are beautiful and encourage a sense of imagination and wonder.
I gave this book to my own wild child for her third birthday. It's now one of her favorites, and mine two. I am in love with the art, the wonderful descriptive words in the rhymes and pretty much everything about this book. I couldn't be more pleased and cannot wait to buy the rest of the set.
One of the most lyrically written and beautifully illustrated books I’ve ever enjoyed.
